On July 9, 2009, Merriam-Webster released a list of 100 new words they added to their Collegiate Dictionary, Eleventh Edition. Among them was "staycation". A staycation is a vacation spent at home or nearby.
My intentions for this blog are for individuals and families to find a fun place to go without breaking the bank. Of course, there are times when we want to splurge, but for most of us, we're not going to be able to fly to Paris on a whim. I'll post special travel deals when they are available, and if your circumstances allow, then book it and have fun!
